The NPSL’s West Region has completed yet another exciting and successful weekend of play.
FC Hasental defeated FC Santa Clarita Storm 4-1 in their second game of the 2014 NPSL season. Two goals from Armando Gaitan as well as a goal a piece from Alberto Anguiano and Agustin Cazarez sealed the victory for the home side.
“We lacked movement in the final third, but our buildup and consolidation play was fun to watch,” FCH head coach Eric Warner remarked.

The San Diego Flash got its second win of the young season thanks to a 3-2 win over expansion side Del Rey City SC. Nathan Medina and Andy O’rtega scored goals for the Flash in addition to an own goal in the 23rd minute.
San Diego goalkeeper James Stroud was credited with keeping the DRCSC attack at bay, coming up with crucial saves throughout the match.
San Francisco Stompers FC battled Real San Jose to a 2-2 draw. San Jose’s Jose Avalos scored his first career NPSL goal in the match, finding the back of the net in the 71st minute.
